New Year’s Day to me means fresh starts, the beginning of something new, and being able to change something with myself. It’s also a good time to make new decisions.
When I was younger, mostly, New Years were associated with traditions, when it was the time to clean the house, prepare some special food and make decorations for the New Year, later they were filled with more hope and aspirations. I had lots of goals to meet and pushed myself really hard the year to reach them or at least set myself on the path to accomplish them.
So, another New Year is approaching and we have a great desire for something new. We are eager to celebrate anything that appears new. We would like to see how desirous we are to change the old and get into the new. Though, we aren’t quite contented with the old. We want something new, really new and believe that ‘Something will come and provide us with the new.’
One thing is, that in this year you’ll probably make mistakes. If you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new thing, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing your world. You are doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you are doing something. It’s OK. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is- art, or love, work or family or life.
Finally, thank you all for your wonderful love and support this year. I hope this New Year will be a lot better.
Yeah, the New is waiting to come. Do not resist it. Only then life is worth celebrating.
