‘Painting is easy when you don’t know how, but very difficult when you do’.
Edgar Degas.
Born in Tbilisi, Georgia. Left Art School Moses Toidze with red diploma. Art has always played some part in her life. She has always been connected to it in one way or another. She paints some amazing and unbelievable 3D paintings which play mind games with your brain.
Inspiration: Walt Disney cartoons. Nothing is impossible, 3D Films? Why not to create 3D paintings. First work and her favorite -a dolphin.
It is not hard to understand her art. If it hangs on a wall it’s a painting, and if you can walk around it it’s alive.
The painting has a life of its own. I try to let it come through. When I’m painting, I’m not aware of what I’m doing. It’s only after I get acquainted period that I see what I’ve been about. I’ve no fears about making changes for the painting has a life of its own. Just my favorite objects are horses and dolphins. Portraits have their faces-models.
Different style. Combination two, sometimes three pieces… Painting is an illusion, a piece of magic, so what you see is not what you see.
April 2018. Eka Peradze in Tbilisi. This time she prefers to meet her art lovers face to face and talk to them. Some art lovers buy her works others just enjoying talking and watching her works.
Before that ‘Days of Africa in Georgia’ were held in Georgia in 2015 to mark the International Decade for People of African Descent.
Her paintings were exhibited in Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Verona. Solo exhibition-in Berlin and Tbilisi. In April her works of arts will be exhibited in New York.
Nominated twice-for the Palm Art Award 2015 and for the kitz art award 2015.
She has her own brand of perfume for women Magic Nights. Soon will be for men too.
If the world could remain within a frame like a painting on the wall, I think we’d see the beauty then and stand staring in awe.
Rare it is to see the combination of two beauty-soul and art. This is Eka Peradze, a mother of 5 children, with her Tbilisian exhibition in her own workshop.
