Already known for the oldest and best wine, travelers in Georgia will choose the winery with more welcoming and interesting environment. Why is the winery Giuaani, located close to Tbilisi in a historical village Manavi, special? Giuaani, family run winery, produces one of the oldest wines in the region, but not only this.
Entering the winery you can watch how Georgian shoti bread is baked in Tone, how churchkhelas are made and you even watch chacha making process. You may participate in all the master classes. After that you may relax in a quite environment and enjoy wine tasting with the fire burning in the fireplace. Choice won’t be easy. Giuaani has 22 kinds of wine both European and Qvevri wines.

Very good post, I often say “it’s not about the wine” as we travel around Europe, visit vineyards, stay in villages and meet winemakers. The culture, traditions, the terroir, history, geography etc is all there to be enjoyed. Oh, and a glass or too as well 🍷🍷
